鼎是中華民族、華夏文明的古老禮器,象征著團結(jié),是代表和平、昌盛的吉祥物。北京校友會將“校訓(xùn)鼎”贈與母校,表達了對母校未來鼎盛發(fā)展的誠摯祝福。中國成語中有鐘鳴鼎食和一言九鼎之說,反映了鼎在中國古代社會生活中的獨特地位。面向未來,學(xué)校將圍繞“綜合性、研究型、開放式、國際化”的世界大學(xué)目標,經(jīng)過兩個“十五年”的建設(shè)階段,完成“新三步走”戰(zhàn)略目標,建成世界大學(xué)。在建設(shè)世界大學(xué)的過程中,學(xué)校需要克服很多困難,但相信在20多萬校友的支持下,這一宏偉目標一定能早日實現(xiàn)。


鑄銅鼎
銅鼎是從陶制的三足鼎演變而來的,起初用來烹煮食物,后主要用于祭祀和宴享,是商周時期重要的禮器之一。鼎,古代原是飪食器,后來變?yōu)榻y(tǒng)治政治權(quán)利的重要象征,視為鎮(zhèn)國之寶和傳國之寶,也是“明貴賤,別上下”等級制的標志。

It was regarded as the treasure of town and country and the treasure of spreading the nation.
