爐子壽命長(zhǎng)。由于高溫作用、機(jī)械磨損和腐蝕等因素的綜合作用，爐子不可避免會(huì)有損壞，必須定期對(duì)爐子進(jìn)行檢修，應(yīng)盡可能延長(zhǎng)爐之的使用壽命，降低費(fèi)用。

勞動(dòng)條件好。要求爐子的機(jī)械化及自動(dòng)化程度高，操作條件好，安全衛(wèi)生，對(duì)環(huán)境無(wú)污染。

1.有純加熱爐，如常壓爐、減壓爐等；有加熱爐反應(yīng)爐，如裂解爐、焦化爐等。  

2.按傳熱方式分類(lèi)：有純對(duì)流式爐、輻射對(duì)流式爐和輻射式爐。
